and I will inform you of all of it, but first who'd like to know where I've been?
1, 2... Did you raise your hand or are you just stretching? Okay so not too many people... Got it...
Regardless here's where I've been... In the dark.
Yeah as things heated up the Timberwolves or Nests eventually either realized we had a thoughtborn or just thought we'd suffer fighting without technology, so someone cut power to the entire area.
That's not a huge problem as I could just go somewhere where there is power, but with things heating up as they were I decided it wasn't worth it to leave The Children alone just to go off and update you guys. So, I stayed and helped out and as a result have been unable to update, but... Things have cooled down now so I can start telling you all about the interesting things that happened.
First things first... Tiff is... Alive... Sort of... We were already trying to decide what to do about her injury when the power went out... There wasn't much we could do without power and while a hospital could probably still handle a gunshot wound patient without power... I mean they have like backup generators and stuff... There were other reasons hospitals were out. For one... They knew we had a wounded member and would probably be watching hospitals... Actually given that The Facet could easily bring her to a powered hospital the lack of power was not much of a consideration for why no hospitals. The bigger reason was concern about Oathbreakers and also being incredibly unsure how a normal hospital would deal with an injured patient they could only partially see. Tiff's Child of nothing protection was still active and we have no idea how to switch it off...
Anyway given all the considerations of which there were many more... We made a decision... One that... Was arguably a bad decision... Maybe we should have chanced a hospital... I don't know, but we had one surefire way to keep her alive... Or at least active... The Facet possessed her. As such she can move and act even with her injury and The Facet says she's basically just sleeping in blissful unconsciousness for now and when her mind wakes up... Well we'll figure that out. She's basically a dead girl walking at this point, so I don't know...
As for the fighting... That continued... We got some back up. Cerise brought some reinforcements in the form of Proxies... They aren't quite allies as The Slender Man has the same Kill on sight order on us as basically all The Fears, but Cerise keeps it quiet that we're working together and The Proxies make a good distraction as long as we don't go near them. You might be wondering how I know this... Cerise told us... She popped in to our base at one point to inform us of these details. The fact she can just pop in on us like that is a bit worrying... I mean we're supposed to be super well hidden, but apparently the fact we brought her there once let her just sort of recall back there via the path... Which does potentially mean that she could be used to find this location later for less amicable reasons or even potentially lead The Slender Man himself to us... So... We were basically thinking that we'd need to move locations for a number of reasons at this point, but that is actually easier said then done.
We actually have quite a lot of stuff to move. So, we were kind of splitting our focus... While Facet/Tiff, Sandy and I were fighting, Ryan and Toby were bringing stuff to our new decided safe house. At the moment we are at said new safehouse.
But that's jumping ahead a bit. First we had some confrontations...
Before I tell you about them, let me explain why we were bothering to fight when we could have probably focused entirely on evacuation. The problem was that The Timberwolves and Nests were getting aggressive. They were searching for us and so, we'd engage them where we found them to disrupt their search and confuse them as to our whereabouts... Plus I just love killing of course.
One such fight became a bit more than it was intended.
Shit... and I'll have to tell you about it later... Facet needs me to actually do some work or something...
