The Dove

So, being human again is weird. I found 3 and 4 by accident which was cool, but then I got distracted by suddenly having to deal with an asshole. So, Oliver is more commonly known by the title, The Dove on account of having only doves inside of him. So, I am going to complete my mission against The Children of Nothing when suddenly a flock of doves pass overhead and then Oliver is there.

"Ollie..." I greeted him.

"Douchebag..." he responded.

"Here to kill me?" I asked.

"Of course. When I found out you'd gone rogue I volunteered for the job," he explained.

"So... You hate me. I get that. I did everything I could to be as big of a dick to you as I can. Hatred is the response I expected, but I got to ask, why the nice guy act?"

"Well... At first I thought The Birds thought you were a big deal so I just thought I should probably be nice to you, then I realized you were just a huge prick and thought I'd be the better man and that maybe you'd realize what an ass you are... Then finally I just decided it wasn't worth it since killing you wasn't an option. Now however it is,"

"You know what... That's cool. I respect that. Let's fight. I'll try to kill you and you try to kill me. First though I have a deal for you. I will go to an atm and get out a bunch of money and if you kill me you can take that money and consider it payback for the windows. Sound fair?"

"Yeah... No I'm just going to kill you now,"

"Alright fine," I responded and took out my machete. Many of you are probably thinking I'm an idiot for continuing to use my machete when I am fighting a nest. As a former nest I should be well aware of the idiocy of fighting nests with bladed weapons. In answer to that... Well you're right. This was stupid and I probably should be dead. I'm not though, obviously.

See, the moment the fight started The Dove's er... Doves rushed back in to attack and... Nothing. They began to circle and I heard him cry out. "What do you mean you can't see him?! He's right there!"

I didn't bother to question it and just rushed him slashing with my machete. He dodged back and I pressed the attack. Poor little Oliver. He relies too much on the birds. Most of the Nests do. Of course Oliver again had to show off that he's smarter than me. He started to flee and I heard him scream, "Just hit the whole place!" I chased after him as lightning bolts began to hit all around me. The air was electrified I could feel all the hair on my body starting to stand on end and I could taste... Well nothing actually. My sense of taste is pretty eroded. I could smell Ozone though and then I managed to body check him and knock him to the ground and I leapt onto him and stabbed him a couple of times as he tried desperately to knock me away and then I leapt off of him just as The birds did exactly as I expected them to do. Lightning arced down from the sky and struck him. He screamed as he was electrocuted. I didn't stay for long to see what happened. They would have realized I wasn't on him when they struck fairly quickly and I didn't want to be there when they decided to just destroy the entire area.

So... Oliver is probably dead and apparently The Birds can't see me. That's useful. Confusing, but useful. Unfortunately I don't know where 3 and 4 went so, back on that chase. It does make me wonder though. If The Birds couldn't see me how the hell did Oliver find me?
